A study out of the University of Kuopio, Finland, on hemp seeds and hemp oil, found that they give a dramatic increase in Blood Level GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid). Approximately one-third of the population lacks the enzyme to metabolize GLA from omega 6 and must take GLA from an outside source to maintain good health, and hemp is an excellent way for them to do so.
Hemp seeds are usually packaged in bulk form in bags or containers. It is best to keep hemp seeds, as in all nut and seed products, away from moisture. Moisture will cause mold on hemp seeds which rots the hemp seed making it unsafe for consumption.
If kept dry and sealed, hemp seeds can last for well over a month or more.
